Meet Tammy

I’m a multi-cultural Nigena woman born in the Kimberley and a human rights lawyer.

As a local, I know many in Swan are doing it tough. That’s why I support Labor’s A Fair Go For All policy.

The downturn in the mining industry, increasing unemployment and housing stress has meant that many are now living pay check to pay check, which makes life stressful. I understand these pressures as a homeowner and a single parent.

Only a Labor Government will fight for job security, protection of penalty rates, universal access to quality healthcare and education, preserving Medicare and opposing a 15% GST. Labor defends the most vulnerable and marginalised in our community.

I completed my schooling, tertiary education and qualification in Perth. I have also raised my children here, all through the public education system. I know education is the key to a health society, and that’s why I support Labor’s Your Child. Our Future policy, which will ensure that our children are nurtured and given opportunity and encouragement at every step of the way.

As a lawyer with experience in local, national and international advocacy, I have the training and skills to be a diligent and effective Federal representative for the people of Swan. I want to be a part of the Labor team and work for the people of Swan to help create a healthier, fairer and more prosperous society for all.

I’m here to listen to you. I will stand up for the people of Swan.

We'll put people first.
